Your access to and use of the Site and services is conditioned upon your acceptance of and compliance with these Terms. These Terms apply to all visitors, users, and others who access or use the Site or engage with my services.

By accessing or using the Site or engaging my services, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you disagree with any part of the terms, then you may not access the Site or engage my services.

  1. Services Offered
jvh.digital provides digital design and web services, including but not limited to:

    1. Squarespace Website Design and Development

    2. Eventbrite Event Marketing and Administration

    3. Digital Design (e.g., posters, social media graphics, branding elements)

Specific details, deliverables, timelines, and pricing for each service package ("Project Agreement") will be outlined in a separate proposal or agreement, which, once accepted, forms a binding contract between jvh.digital and the client.

  2. Pricing and Payments

    1. Service Packages: Pricing for standard service packages is as outlined on the Site's Services page. Custom quotes will be provided for projects falling outside standard packages.

    2. Proposals/Quotes: All proposals and quotes provided by jvh.digital are valid for 30 days from the date of issue.

    3. Deposits: Depending on the type of project, a non-refundable deposit of 50% of the total project fee may be required upfront before any work commences on a project. This secures your booking and covers initial planning and design time. This will be indicated on the proposal / quotation for work.

    4. Payment Schedule: The remaining balance will be due in instalments as outlined in the Project Agreement, with the final payment due upon project completion or launch, prior to the transfer of ownership or final file delivery.

      1. Payment Methods: Payments are accepted via [e.g., bank transfer, Stripe, PayPal - specify which ones].

      2. Late Payments: Invoices not paid within 7 days of the due date may be subject to a late payment fee of 5% per week or statutory interest under the Late Payment of Commercial Debts (Interest) Act 1998, until paid in full. Project work may be paused or delayed until outstanding invoices are settled.

  3. Client Responsibilities
For the successful completion of any project, the client agrees to:

    1. Provide Content: Timely provide all necessary text, images, logos, product information, and other content required for the project. Delays in content provision may result in project delays or revised timelines.

    2. Provide Feedback: Provide prompt and constructive feedback and approvals at specified stages of the project.

    3. Accuracy of Information: Ensure all information provided to jvh.digital is accurate, complete, and does not infringe on any third-party rights.

    4. Cooperation: Cooperate fully and openly with jvh.digital throughout the project duration.

  4. Revisions and Scope

    1. Included Revisions: Each service package includes a specified number of revision rounds as indicated in the proposal / quotation.

    2. Out-of-Scope Work: Any significant changes or additions requested by the client beyond the agreed-upon scope (as defined in the Project Agreement) will be considered "out-of-scope" and will be charged at an additional hourly rate of £60 per hour or as a separate change order. jvh.digital will communicate any such additional costs to the client for approval before proceeding.

  5. Project Timelines

    1. Project timelines are estimates and will be outlined in the Project Agreement.

    2. jvh.digital will make every reasonable effort to adhere to agreed timelines. However, delays caused by the client (e.g., late content, delayed feedback) or unforeseen circumstances may result in adjustments to the schedule.

  6. Intellectual Property & Ownership

    1. Client Content: The client retains full ownership of all text, images, and data provided to jvh.digital for use in their project. The client grants jvh.digital a license to use this content for the purpose of completing the project.

    2. jvh.digital Work Product: Upon final payment of all outstanding invoices, ownership of the completed website design (excluding any third-party fonts, stock photography, or software licenses) or digital design files will transfer to the client.

    3. Licensing for Stock Assets: Any stock photography, fonts, or third-party software used in a project will be subject to their respective licenses. jvh.digital will advise the client on any necessary licenses the client must acquire or maintain.

    4. Portfolio Rights: jvh.digital reserves the right to display completed projects in its online portfolio, social media, and other marketing materials unless otherwise agreed in writing.

  7. Hosting, Maintenance, and Third-Party Services (for Website Projects)

    1. Squarespace Hosting: Website projects are built on the Squarespace platform. Clients are responsible for purchasing and maintaining their own Squarespace subscription plan directly with Squarespace after the site launch.

    2. Domain Names: Clients are responsible for purchasing and renewing their own domain names. jvh.digital will assist with connecting the domain to the Squarespace site as part of the project.

    3. Third-Party Accounts: Clients are responsible for purchasing and maintaining any necessary third-party accounts (e.g., email marketing services, scheduling apps, premium plugins) integrated into their website.

    4. Post-Launch Maintenance: Unless a separate maintenance agreement is in place, jvh.digital is not responsible for ongoing website maintenance, updates, security, or troubleshooting issues arising after project completion and final payment.

  8. Limitation of Liability

    1. jvh.digital will perform its services with reasonable care and skill. However, jvh.digital shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including without limitation, loss of profits, data, use, goodwill, or other intangible losses, resulting from (i) your access to or use of or inability to access or use the Site or services; (ii) any conduct or content of any third party on the Site; (iii) any content obtained from the Site; and (iv) unauthorized access, use or alteration of your transmissions or content, whether based on warranty, contract, tort (including negligence) or any other legal theory, whether or not I have been informed of the possibility of such damage.

  9. Termination

    1. Either party may terminate a Project Agreement if the other party breaches any material term and fails to remedy the breach within [e.g., 14 days] of written notice.

    2. In the event of client termination before project completion, the upfront deposit is non-refundable, and the client may be liable for payment for work completed up to the date of termination, calculated at jvh.digital's hourly rate or a pro-rata basis of the project fee.

  10. Governing Law
These Terms shall be governed and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Any disputes arising under these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.

  11. Changes to These Terms
I reserve the right, at my sole discretion, to modify or replace these Terms at any time. If a revision is material, I will try to provide at least 30 days notice prior to any new terms taking effect. What constitutes a material change will be determined at my sole discretion. By continuing to access or use my Site or services after those revisions become effective, you agree to be bound by the revised terms.
